Division 2 is in charge with the acquisition and analysis of vibrations: ground and building vibration due to earthquake, ambient noise, etc.

• The main objective is the improvement of seismic input for design of new buildings and for the seismic evaluation and seismic rehabilitation of existing buildings.
• Understanding the attenuation of seismic ground motion from Vrancea source and understanding the seismic site response in the special conditions of Bucharest are the principal directions of the studies.
